POSITION OVERVIEW

The Partner Program Leader (PPL) is responsible for end-to-end program development, execution and measurement of programs that impact revenue for the company through partners and influencers.

The role supports the development of the global business with and through all Sumtotal partner types:

The program development strategy is focused around the five pillars of Sumtotal’s Partner Programs. The role focuses on Partner Enablement, Communications (internal/external), Partner Marketing, Systems availability and provisioning, and Program Performance & Reporting. Partner Enablement is one pillar of a 5 pillar strategy for managing Partner Programs

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with cross functional teams to manage contributions to and from sales enablement, partner marketing, systems provisioning and management, development of program content, and more.
  • Develop and maintain the overall partner enablement program including: solution education, product demonstration, certification standards and implementation programs.
  • Work with SMEs including product teams, solution architects, engagement managers, professional services, implementation consultants, etc. to develop / adapt new content, manage overall content, publication/distribution process and training calendar for Partner and channel organizations.
  • Develop and maintain program related materials.
  • Manage the implementation and ongoing support of any content portals (**may be removing**).
  • Identify and prioritize required updates to existing materials, programs or content based on product updates, messaging enhancements, best practices, as well as partner feedback.
  • Identify and leverage specialized resources required to accomplish program goals: solutions experts, service offerings experts, technology resources, etc.
  • Manage logistics for partner webinar series.
  • Deliver select modules of the overall program & maintain readiness programs for the 3 annual product updates.
  • Capture and systematically document best practices that emerge relating to materials development, content distribution, sessions and events, partner relationship management, program strategy and measurement.
  • Implement processes to capture and track feedback from partners.
  • Exercise professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive corporate and partner information.
  • Travel, as needed, to support program planning and execution of the program.
  • Evaluates program trends and provides analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Works toward mutual goals, strategies, and objectives to build awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of the partnerships.
  • Monitors programs to assess the sales impact of the solution(s) in the marketplace and the overall success of the alliance.
  • Work with partners to understand competitive differentiators and provide information to partners, including demo sites.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical and tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team.
  • At least 3 – 5 + years experience in a B2B technology company.
  • Excellent listening and presentation abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines at any one time, while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • A hunger for knowledge and a keen appetite to learn.
  • A passion and talent for building rapport and strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Experience and proficient with a CRM tools e.g. salesforce etc.
  • Self-motivated and matured individual who and can work independently in a remote setting.
  • Experience in global markets with flexibility to work in other time zones.
  • Ability to clearly articulate SumTotal’s value proposition to prospects and target buyers.
  • Bachelor degree is preferred.
