The Learning Management System Administrator is a highly technical position that provides leadership in the administration and maintenance of Satellite Office’s employee learning management system (LMS). S/he will report to Human Resources and will collaborate closely with third-party providers as well as the end users to maintain, configure changes in the system and updates, and deliver learning reports and analytics on staff training, development and performance. S/he will be responsible for the daily administration of the Learning Management System, maintaining course catalogs, uploading and updating courseware and curricula, training assignments, learner notification text and rules in LMS, reporting functions, reviewing and auditing records. You will modify, improve, correct, and ensure the accurate and proper working of the LMS, providing ongoing updates on the efficiency of the LMS.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 

General 

  • Providing support, maintenance, and management of a Learning Management System (LMS), being THE expert on all things LMS.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with multiple clients and vendors.
  • Writes and maintains technical procedures and policy documentation, including articles for a technical support knowledge base.
  • Configure an LMS to support online, hybrid, and blended instruction.
  • Creates and updates resources to train and support learners on how to use the technology for online and professional development.
  • Participate in User Access testing when necessary.
  • Accurately pull and manage reporting data.
  • Develop new site features and improvements, such as the Mobile app and digital badges
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

User Management 

  • Support operations in learning management systems, including creation of user login and access, and assign user permissions.
  • Testing training programs before they are published to ensure positive learner experience before assigning learning activities.
  • Creates and manages user structures including the creation of user groups.
  • Manages course enrollment including progress tracking.

Course Management 

  • Create, configure, test and troubleshoot self-paced online courses in the company's Learning Management System
  • Populates course information and assigns learners.
  • Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.
  • Maintain e-learning content.
  • Manages relationship with third party vendors, SumTotal and Skillsoft and facilitates the successful linkage of Skillsoft courses to the LMS.

Troubleshooting 

  • Provides troubleshooting assistance for users regarding access to the LMS and courses.
  • Assist learners as the initial point of contact by answering inquiries and providing immediate resolution or careful redirection to escalated support resources.
  • Reviews and monitors system performance.

  • 1-2 years of experience managing Learning Management Systems
  • Must be willing to work Australian hours
  • Must be willing to work at Bonifacio Global City

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Common knowledge of LMS software
    • Social media or knowledge management experience
    • Familiarity with course design and development
    • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies, such as HTML
