Program Marketing Manager, QxMD Job Description

 

Medscape is looking for a Program Marketing Manager, QxMD who will be responsible for creating and managing the direct marketing plans to achieve contractual traffic goals (e.g. click goal, visit goal) for direct-to-physician publication dissemination programs through the QxMD portfolio, part of the Medscape Medical Affairs solution suite. The role encompasses campaign setup and management, tracking, analysis, reporting and optimisation of marketing campaigns. For the successful candidate, this position offers great opportunity and exposure to a unique product suite, with marketing analysis and marketing channel execution whilst working in an exciting and highly motivated environment.

Physicians and other healthcare providers rely on QxMD to discover relevant medical research, make informed clinical decisions, and learn about medical topics relevant to their practice. The platform provides pharmaceutical clients with high value solutions that drive disease awareness, provide digital/mobile medical education, and supports clinicians via mobile-optimised clinical decision support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, execute, track and optimise direct-to-physician marketing plans to ensure traffic goals are met for QxMD programs
  • Closely track performance of tactics and progress of programs, adjusting marketing tactics as necessary to meet client objectives and contracted deliverables
  • Analyse traffic of all programs and provide strategic analysis of campaigns
  • Optimise list targeting and segmentation to improve response rates and overall yield
  • Collaborate with sales and internal teams to track and analyse program performance 
  • Provide account management and client support as needed
  • Cross-functionally ensure that all internal teams, including project management, and production teams, complete tasks associated with the tracking and reporting of marketing tactics within agreed timeframes
  • Support and partner with finance and other internal teams to achieve quarterly revenue goals
  • Proactively drive the marketing financial contribution to the global business
  • Own the day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns on our native platform as well as augment traffic on third party platforms (e.g. Facebook, Google, etc.)
  • Plan, monitor and optimise multiple campaigns
  • Run email marketing campaigns on SendGrid and MailChimp
  • Conduct ongoing conversion rate optimisation 
  • Ensure all campaigns and conversions are properly tracked
  • Review marketing materials, including copy and creative
  • Ensure best practices are followed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (marketing, publishing, medical communications, medical education) or similar years of relatable experience
  • 3+ years combined experience in any of the following: digital marketing related field, i.e. digital agency, digital analytics, experience in digital marketing, including email, media, and contextual linking

 

Experience:
  • Delivery of digital advertising, medcomms or medical education solutions in the pharmaceutical market
  • Advance experience in media & database operations
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Adobe SiteCatalyst (Omniture), Google Ad Manager and Facebook Ads
  • Considerable experience working directly with a sales team, i.e. sales deployment, sales analytics, sales
  • Have experience with Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review process, and project management software
