Position Overview: 
The Director, Partner Management helps WebMD Ignite achieve our mission through the development of successful distribution Partners (e.g. Value Added Resellers, Referral Partners, etc.). This person will be responsible for setting and achieving annual revenue growth targets for our distribution partners. The Director, Partnership Management is also responsible for creating and implementing the strategic pieces of our partnering strategy including: Joint business planning, programs that help our Partners increase the utilization, integration and distribution of our products, Partner training classes, and sales presentations. 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Training: Provides a range of consultation services to WebMD Ignite partners to maximize utilization of WebMD Ignite products while achieving their business and program goals. Prepares partners for success by conducting sales training programs, conducting joint seminars, and participating in trade shows/user-group meetings
  • Assists partners with product demos and sales calls as necessary
  • Conduct QBR and ERB's with partners 
  • Generate qualified leads from referral partners, transition to sales team, assist with closing deals 
  • Develops sales tools for Partner sales and account management teams to use with clients. 
  • Assists with development and maintenance of strategic partner Action Plans. 
  • Responsible for WebMD Ignite relationships with Partners at director and management level and sometimes at executive level. 
  • Works with WebMD Ignite Product Marketing team on joint partner marketing and exhibit efforts. 
  • Captures and communicates product feedback from partners. 
  • Sales: Works with Director of Partner Development to develop and update a list of strategic partner prospects for each market and creates sales programs that direct and support the WebMD Ignite Business Development Team’s efforts to add the best new Partners. Participates in on-site presentations with the WebMD Ignite Business Development team as needed. 
  • Business Planning & Program Development: Conducts joint business planning with our partners to review/maintain sales pipelines and identify new opportunities to integrate our products within our partners’ solutions. Collects pertinent information on Partner market opportunities and uses that information to develop and implement programs in collaboration with our product management and marketing teams. 
  • Account Management: Establishes strategic business relationships with our Partners’ executives to understand objectives for integration and distribution of consumer health content. Works to make WebMD Ignite products and solutions mission critical to Partners.
  • Cultivate and coordinate key executive relationships that align senior WebMD Ignite executives with strategic Partner executives. 
  • Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving/Creativity: Analyze and develop business models to facilitate revenue and market share growth for partners and WebMD Ignite. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the Care Management Software market. 
  • Able to travel to meet with Partners, Clients, staff trade shows. 
  • Manages team of Strategic Partner Manager 
  • Conducts regular performance reviews for Strategic Partner Manager 
  • Responsible for VAR growth targets assigned to Strategic Partner Manager. 
Skills & Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 
  • 3-5 years experience in Care Management software market 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to be responsible and results driven 
  • Solid communication skills 
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) 
  • Excels in an entrepreneurial sales environment with only moderate supervision. Can handle the complexities of managing a territory. 
  • Ability to manage quota carrying staff. 
  • Effectively blends the need to be a brand champion, a data expert, and a client consultant in order to maximize territory sales 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and enjoys working on a team
