Position Overview:
Reporting to the Impact & Insights Product Owner, Medscape (a division of WebMD) is looking to hire a Digital Learning Sciences Specialist to provide subject matter expertise in online adult learning within the US and Global markets. The role will play an important role in advising team members in data-driven education design by staying up to date with the latest in impactful digital adult learning, monitoring effectiveness of instructional design elements, online product performance, and curating recommended learning experiences that maximize impact on HCP learning outcomes. They will collaborate with the product, grants, data analytics, and outcomes measurement teams. They will synthesize findings across several projects to make recommendations to the Impact & Insights Product Owner, the sales organization, and other internal stakeholders.
· Under the supervision of the Impact & Insights Product Owner, actively monitor the performance of key products with a lens of learner engagement and impact and identify data-driven opportunities for maximizing impact to be used in project ideation and for product specifications.
· Serve as an SME in digital learning design for strategy, content development, audience engagement, grants, product, and outcomes teams
· Conduct thorough analyses of the performance of learning strategies and tactics to generate actionable intelligence and clearly communicate and present findings to stakeholders
· Develop sound understanding of Medscape Education’s product portfolio
· Tackle complex and ambiguous problems with an analytical, strategic, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset
· Create recommendations and action plans for solving problems
Minimum Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree
· 4+ years relevant experience in adult, digital, voluntary learning for professional development in healthcare purposes
· Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
· High energy, disciplined self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to influence others who are not in their immediate team
· Experience interpreting data to propel action
· Influential verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to internal stakeholders
· Highly organized and acts with a sense of urgency
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in adult learning or online education design preferred
· Experience using data dashboards to identify patterns
· Experience working in a fast-paced, for-profit setting
