The Opportunity  
What to Expect and BabyCenter are seeking a Senior Commerce Editor to write, edit, and update shopping content for pregnant people and new parents. The right candidate is passionate about creating shopping content that is thoroughly researched, vetted by relevant experts, and truly helps parents navigate the confusing and overwhelming world of baby gear. This position will report to the Director of Commerce Content Strategy.   
  
Key Responsibilities  
  • Pitch and write of-the-day content about products that Millennial and Gen Z moms care about both within and outside of the pregnancy and baby space  
  • Assign and edit best-of product guides, using SEO and affiliate revenue data to strategically expand into new categories. Additionally, regularly update existing best-of guides to ensure our product recommendations are accurate and up to date  
  • Contribute to the coverage of major shopping holidays, such as Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from product, growth marketing, and audience teams to optimize and grow other content distribution channels such as push notifications, mobile app experiences, emails, and more  
  
Job Qualifications  
  • Comfort with juggling multiple pieces of content at once  
  • A background in service journalism, and ideally experience working with shopping content  
  • SEO best practices, especially as they relate updating existing content and ideating new content ideas targeted to specific keywords  
  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely rollout of new content  
  • Experience working with content management systems and affiliate link tools   
  • About 5 years of experience as a digital media editor

Compensation for this business unit specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business & company performance.
