Job Summary: 
As a mid-level Brand Designer, you will help build a category-defining brand through campaigns, events, product launches, advertising, lifecycle design and much more. You’ll be closely collaborating with our team of marketers, growth strategists, and product designers across IGN, Humble Bundle, and MapGenie. You’ll conceptualize a variety of creative solutions across many mediums and surfaces, establishing visually striking brand identities that inspire and engage our target audiences. You’re a strong, clear communicator and a natural problem solver providing a critical eye to the level of detail, polish, craft, and consistency in our overall output. The ideal candidate will possess the technical capabilities and savvy to create the brand design and strategy from scratch and feel confident sharing collaborating with a cross-functional team.

Job Duties: (Bullet points on their day to day/what will be expected of them):
  • Independently drive projects based on brand and business goals, while seeking feedback, brainstorming cross-functionally, and augmenting your work with others' expertise
  • See projects throughout the entire design process; from creative conception to production
  • Craft engaging visuals and digital experiences in a fast-paced environment
  • Design for a wide range of projects while ensure brand consistency; able to hold to a high standard of design
  • Actively contribute to the evolution of our brands by exploring novel solutions that support our brand goals
  • Collaborate with marketing, product design, and growth teams to concept campaigns, evergreen communications, and launch announcements that support new products and features
  • Articulating a creative vision by collaborating with other designers, illustrators, photographers, etc.


Job Qualifications: 
  • Excellence in typography, color, layout, and composition; familiar with motion graphics
  • Strong visual storytelling skills that support launching new product features in novel ways
  • Experience hiring photographers, illustrators, copywriters, to contribute to projects 
  • Experience with design tools Adobe Creative, Figma, Invision, etc.
  • Deep understanding of current design trends, craft, and patterns
  • 5+ years in brand projects from concept through asset creation across multiple surfaces 
  • Able to effectively communicate through written language (project briefs, written narratives) 
  • Embrace an iterative design process and receptive to feedback
  • Able to work independently, drive multiple projects at a time, and iterate quickly
  • Foster strong working relationships with team members and cross-functional teammates
  • Comfortable in your soft skills: listening, negotiating, and decision-making

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000, plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
