The Opportunity
Everyday Health Pregnancy & Parenting’s What to Expect team is seeking a dedicated Commerce Editor to create, edit, and update shopping content tailored for pregnant individuals and new parents. This role is ideal for someone passionate about crafting well-researched, expert-vetted content that assists parents in navigating the overwhelming world of baby gear. The position reports to the Associate Director of Commerce and offers flexibility to be fully remote (U.S. only) or hybrid in New York or San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign and edit best-of product guides, utilizing SEO and affiliate revenue data to strategically expand into new categories
- Regularly update existing content to ensure our product recommendations reflect the latest and greatest items available for purchase
- Contribute to the coverage of major shopping holidays, such as Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday
- Participate in What to Expect monthly shopping franchises, including Editors’ Picks and Products to Watch
- Oversee the What to Expect awards franchises
- Stay current on trends and new products, pitching ideas for coverage
- Contribute to efforts to diversify What to Expect’s shopping content onto novel platforms
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in SEO best practices, particularly in updating existing content and developing new content ideas targeted to specific keywords
- Strong reporting and editing skills
- Experience working with content management systems and affiliate link tools.
- Affiliate e-commerce experience is a plus, but not required
- 2-3 years of experience as a digital media editor, preferably with health and wellness content
