Job Summary:

Humble Bundle is hiring a Marketing Manager to help grow our digital storefront by leading all copywriting output for the marketing portion of the business. This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated, savvy writer who understands gaming, and has had experience supporting copy distribution across multiple marketing channels (ie: email, paid, website). In this role, you would be responsible for working across the entire marketing team to support the copywriting needs for all product launches, as well as broader marketing campaigns that launch periodically throughout the year. This role will also supervise a copywriting freelancer to help support output needs.

Job Duties:

  • Use your passion for writing and gaming to empower your marketing teammates to engage with our products, content, and our community and reach their external growth marketing goals.
  • Provide cohesive vision for copy and voice across multiple business channels.
  • Interpret creative briefs and business development inquiries with marketing manager, design team members, and other partners to take plans and implement them into one-off assets or full-blown campaigns.
  • Continually drive fresh takes on copywriting in a way that connects with Humble Bundle’s core audience and drives actions on platforms like email, social, the blog, and advertising.
  • Consult business development and SEO resources to craft effective and targeted messaging that drive conversion.
  • Stay on top of trends through business or industry monitoring and using outside resources.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing updates across the business to partner collaborators.
  • A/B test and adjust copy as often as possible to drive better conversion in all channels.

Job Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in DTC or ecommerce-based marketing.
  • A portfolio of writing samples, including as many channel examples as possible.
  • Degree in writing, English, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks that vary in complexity and urgency.
  • Experience successfully collaborating cross-functionally with multifaceted teams.
  • Experience with Google Docs.
  • Experience in the gaming industry is a major plus.

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000 to $121,000, 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
