Responsibility:       

We seek candidates to fill two Maintenance Supervisor II (MSII) positions within our Station Programs.
 
Responsibility:
The first role, Project MSII (All Trades), requires the selected candidate to be a Facilities Station Programs Project lead. This individual will oversee Capital Projects within the station, from design to close-out. Responsibilities, which are important to project management, include ensuring that the scopes and designs of capital work meet the operational needs of the station environment, managing contracts and meeting deadlines, reviewing construction drawings, and commenting on contract drawings. Additional duties involve overseeing the impacts of construction on the Station Environment, customer flow, employees, and Facilities/Station Maintenance, providing project updates in the Project Management APP/software, and responding to construction site complaints for contracts. The candidate will also be attending inspections with the Stations Programs Capital Support Group to make sure work is completed according to the contract.
 
The second role, Bulletin MSII (Electrical), focuses on reviewing electrical and communications bulletins for MTA Capital Contracts. Responsibilities include attending bulletin meetings and providing comments, participating in meetings and field visits for bulletins and related tasks, and reviewing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals. The candidate will also review new AC and DC lighting fixtures and lamps/bulbs, inspect mock-ups of equipment and lighting fixtures before installation, and submit comments after reviewing the electrical portion of capital contracts and updating bulletin progress in Teams. Additionally, the candidate will review contract electrical specifications, scopes of work, PRDC, and drawings.
 
Education and Experience:
Five years of full-time satisfactory experience with a major railroad or transit authority; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
        
Desired Skills:         
Knowledge of NYCT policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. C&D design Standards, Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Strong teamwork skills, and Excellent written and interpersonal skills. Excellent PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Apps suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive).
