Responsibility:

This position oversees an assigned group of subordinate employees engaged in the testing and acceptance of New York City Transit elevators and escalators.
 
  • Must be comfortable with walking and performing duties on elevators (shafts, pits, machine rooms) and escalators.
  • Conduct elevator and escalator tests, material and spare parts distribution, inventory, and storage, as required.
  • Schedule and assign supervisors and employees to the various jobs required to meet project schedules and ensure product quality.
  • Conduct inspection reviews and prepare reports.
  • Must be available pre-and post -tour as required by project schedules.
  • Coordinate work with other MTA groups (C&D, communication, Architecture, Mechanical, Etc.)
  • Compiles and analyzes testing documentation,
  • Schedule and process tasks for training and licensing requirements
  • Responsible for meeting schedules and work with stakeholders to meet completion dates.
  • Responsible to ensure that working environment safety protocols are followed.
  • Coordinate and schedule all Access & Protection tasks involving E&E equipment
  • Additional duties as required to meet the needs of the department.
Compensation:

1st Step Entrance      $112,717

2nd Step                     $114,313

3rd Step                      $118,338

Education and Experience:

Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the installation, tests, maintenance and repair projects; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Desired Skills:

  • Must have familiarly with NYCT policies and procedures, related codes, safety, and processes.
  • Must have 5 years' experience conducting inspections and tests.
  • Must be proficient in EAM, Power BI and Microsoft office suit.
