Compensation:
Salary Range: $103,721- $146,827 (Grade C, 677 points)
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all fare enforcement activities on Select Bus Service (SBS) lines and Regular Bus Service (RBS) in both MTA Bus lines and all NYC Transit Buses. In addition, this position will develop and implement plans to protect NYC Transit properties, and its employees against terrorism, theft, vandalism and other crimes in all subway yards and lay-up areas; as well as provide executive protection services for the Executive Staff. Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to interact with the New Fare Payment System in which new Technology is being developed; including the research and development of new technologies to issue and track TAB Summonses; oversee the recruitment, training and deployment for all Fare Enforcement Agents (FEA), Special Inspectors (SI), Special Inspector Supervisors (SIS) and other security personnel; forecast budgetary requirements for the expansions of SBS and RBS lines and develop cost effective ways to streamline personnel and equipment to optimize deployment and enforcement.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in public administration, finance, systems analysis and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a security environment, including five (5) years in a managerial / supervisory / capacity for or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience; or
- A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
Desired Skills:
Experience working in security environment is preferred.
Experience in fare enforcement and writing tickets.
Familiarity with local laws, NYCT rules, regulations and procedures
