We launched in 2010 with a single two-week Humble Indie Bundle, but we have humbly grown into a store full of games and bundles, a subscription service, a game publisher, and more. Position Intro:

Humble Bundle is looking for an experienced HR director to partner with the Humble Bundle leadership team to drive strategic HR work and initiatives across the organization. The role will report to the VP of HR of Ziff Davis (Humble Bundle’s parent company) and will be a dedicated partner to Humble Bundle. 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement HR plans that optimally communicate and support the company’s mission, vision, and values, with a constant focus on the impact on employees
  • Partner with leadership on organizational planning and to align HR strategy with business objectives
  • Be responsible for and lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including domestic and international recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, promotions, job changes, leaves of absence, relocations, terminations, and the exit process
  • Support a positive and well-rounded employee experience by contributing to culture definition and conducting employee surveys and feedback sessions
  • Ensure people-operations matters such as visas and immigration-related issues, I-9s, workplace safety, contractor/freelancer processing, and remote work policies are handled accurately and consistently
  • Contribute to the sourcing of candidates through internship program development, university relations initiatives, and other networking efforts
  • Drive annual bonus and salary planning processes; make salary recommendations for new hires, promotions, and equity adjustments; conduct market analysis; and participate in headcount approval process
  • Facilitate employee and organizational development through job leveling efforts, career matrix development, succession planning, and workplace training
  • Provide mentoring to management and employees to resolve conflicts, improve team efficiency, and ensure support of organizational changes and business plans
  • Offer day-to-day coaching and performance management guidance, including ongoing leadership coaching for key executives; work with managers and employees to build strong work relationships that contribute to high morale, productivity, and retention
  • Use data and analytics to assess and define the talent needs across the organization; report key learnings to leadership on an ongoing basis
  • Define and support diversity and inclusion efforts
  • Develop effective change management programs (reorgs, restructures, acquisitions, etc.) and help management work through organizational design to promote role clarity at the individual and team level

Requirements

  • 10 years’ HR experience; 5 years’ experience as a senior HR leader; 3+ years of HR team management experience, preferably including recruitment and compensation
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Demonstrable track record leading and delivering high-quality enterprise-wide HR services
  • Shown success applying employee attraction, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills 
  • Results-oriented, with an ability to work independently
  • Self-starter, highly motivated with ability to adapt to constantly changing environment 
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive, high-risk HR issues and use utmost discretion
