What You Will Be Doing:
- Modeling and Design:
- Develop detailed 3D models of HVAC systems using BIM software such as Revit.
- Ensure that HVAC designs are integrated seamlessly with architectural and structural models.
- Resolve any conflicts in coordination with other disciplines.
- Documentation and Detailing:
- Prepare and maintain accurate HVAC design documents, including schematics, layouts, and detailed drawings.
- Generate schedules and bills of materials for HVAC components.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with project standards and codes.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that HVAC designs meet project requirements.
- Participate in coordination meetings and workshops to discuss and resolve design issues.
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth project progression.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality checks on HVAC models and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Implement and follow BIM standards and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC systems, BIM technology, and industry standards.
- Support and Training:
- Provide support and training to team members on BIM software and HVAC modeling techniques.
- Assist in developing and updating BIM standards and protocols within the organization.
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in BIM technology (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in HVAC design and modeling within a BIM environment.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Excellent 3D modeling and drafting skills.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to HVAC systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Revit HVAC family creation.
