The Role:
We are seeking an entry-level legal counsel with a strong focus on employment and privacy law to join the legal team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal guidance and support in all matters related to employment and privacy law.
Key responsibilities:
  • Legislative updates: Monitor constantly the legislative updates and transmit relevant updates to the team.
  • Legal research: performing research (mainly on employment and privacy related topics), by reference to the available case law and practice.
  • Legal advisory: provide timely and practical legal advice, mainly on employment-related issues (including all types of terminations, employee’s complaints, tailoring the working schedule to the business needs), as well as on privacy-related issues.
  • Employment documentation drafting and review: drafting of employment documentation (e.g. employment contracts, internal policies, termination documentation).
  • Contract drafting and review: amending commercial contracts with different suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • Master of law from an accredited law school,
  • 2-3 years’ experience as attorney.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Well-developed commercial awareness with an outcome-oriented and solution-based approach, able to apply legal principles pragmatically.
  • Experience in litigation (preferably on employment case files) is a plus.
  • Experience in a multijurisdictional environment (Romanian and Bulgarian law) is a plus.
