CCTV Technician

The CCTV Technician is responsible for ensuring all CCTV cameras and systems are fully operational, maintained, and properly monitored, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to address any issues promptly and effectively. They manage the operations control room, perform routine maintenance, and provide training and support to CCTV operators, ensuring 24/7 emergency response readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operations control room is managed, cameras are fully functional, and equipment is properly maintained.
- Perform daily checks on cameras for cleanliness, functionality, and recording status.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CCTV cameras, systems, and VMS applications (AXIS Camera Station, Milestone, Hikvision, etc.).
- Install, secure, and administer VMS applications, and perform routine maintenance according to the master plan.
- Coordinate with the Network and Storage teams to ensure data connections and security are regularly checked.
- Provide 24/7 emergency response for CCTV failures and handle off-hours work requests when necessary.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation/Control System Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and relevant software (Milestone, AXIS, Hikvision, etc.).
- Experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS) and hardware servers (HP, Dell, EMC, Blade).
- Familiarity with LAN administration tasks (user management, backups).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with large-scale CCTV projects or advanced VMS applications.
- Certifications in CCTV systems or network security.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity measures specific to CCTV systems.
