Senior Design Operations Manager
- Lead and manage the planning and allocation of design resources, ensuring alignment with product and engineering objectives.
- Develop and refine operational processes to improve design outputs' efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Conducted key operational reviews, including Quarterly State of Design reviews, and reported on performance metrics.
- Implement and manage advanced project management tools and methodologies to enhance cross-team collaboration and project execution.
- Continuously evaluate and improve design workflows, removing bottlenecks and enhancing productivity.
- Support the career development and professional growth of the UX design team through targeted training and enablement initiatives.
- Organize and facilitate team-building activities and all-hands meetings to foster a strong and cohesive design culture.
- Mentor and guide junior design operations staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure it's user-centric in design processes.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in UX design and operations, positioning Nutanix as a leader in innovative design solutions.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of design operations, providing insights for strategic improvements.
- 7+ years of experience in UX design operations or management within a high-tech, high-growth environment.
- Strong background in strategic planning, resource management, and operational process improvement.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent detailed and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of aligning various stakeholders and conveying complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, Figma, Google Suite, SharePoint, Slack, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with B2B enterprise-scale operations, cross-functional and cross-geographical teams, and a solid understanding of Software
- Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework.
- BS or BA in Management, Business, Computer Science, Design, HCI, or equivalent.
- Proven track record of achieving significant outcomes and driving operational improvements in a complex environment.
- A meticulous approach to operations with the ability to manage detailed reporting and insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- The ability to manage multiple strategic work-streams and initiatives, balancing short-term demands with long-term goals.
