Nutanix (NTNX) is looking for a motivated and results-oriented Senior Manager, Systems Engineering - Channel Sales (Channel SEM) to manage a team of Channel Systems Engineers as part of the sales organization. The Channel SEM will have leadership responsibility for the CSEs within the APAC / EMEA / Americas/ India region and will act as a working manager. It is expected that the Channel SEM can perform all of the functions that a Nutanix Systems Engineer does including presentations, architecture discussions, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POC). The Channel SEM will act as the Systems Engineering resource for the Regional Channel Sales Leader and report directly to the Director of Channel Engineering for the Americas.  
   

  

Channel Sales at Nutanix  
Our Systems Engineering & Solution Sales organization is made up of 800+ customer-focused technical sales professionals who are responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customer's business issues and objectives, as well as channel partner training and enablement. This team also acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert in their field by the Nutanix sales, customer success, business partners, and customers.  

  

Your Role  
  • You will lead a team of Channel Systems Engineers, being responsible for team enablement, team performance and actively involved in discussions and decisions on performance management, talent review, promotions, and more.
  • Be responsible for regularly collecting and synthesizing feedback from the team to help identify strengths and opportunities for growth of the team members and advocate for their success
  • Be responsible for onboarding team members, identifying ways to continuously improve their experience as they adapt to the team and company culture
  • You will foster a team environment for continuous learning and improvement, offering mentoring and coaching to team members.
  • You will be accountable to ensure the team members are complying with all administrative requirements of the role - reporting, expenses, reviews, filing data in tools.
  • Support the functional leadership team in analysis, planning for growth in new locations, new skills set or roles
  • Be responsible for ensuring partners' success through ongoing partner enablement and meeting certification requirements
  • Have alignment with Channel Sales leaders on key strategy and objectives to ensure partners' success with Nutanix portfolio and identify new business opportunities for partners
  • Be the executive touchpoint for selected partners
  • You will have the responsibility to develop and maintain an active pipeline of business partner for the team.
  • Supports Channel SE team in the field, for complex evaluations, troubleshooting, and challenging customer environments
  • Provide a clear escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical sales issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with the key stakeholders across Nutanix sales, enablement, engineering, marketing, and other business units to identify new opportunities for partners

  

What You Will Bring  
  • 5+ years of management experience or equivalent
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a presales customer/partner-facing technical role
  • Prior management experience will prepare you for our environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree, and working knowledge of Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Technical experience with virtualization technologies, data center consolidation, and/or server technologies will prepare you for our environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and guided teams to achieve their goals
  • Excellent people management skills; high empathy and consideration for team morale and member's career progression
  • Agility to adjust accordingly and motivation to build and lead successful teams
  • Ability to assimilate new technologies and have proven customer-facing skills at both the C-level and line management level
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and the ability to build trust and rapport with cross-functional partners
  • A structured thinker with excellent presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a zealous drive
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, and execute detailed action plans
  • Willing to travel across the region up to 50%

Our sales team is a fully hybrid team with the team working throughout the EMEA region. When working from home, you will still feel connected to the team with our weekly meetings, 1-1s and daily slack (instant messaging) chats and we try to swing by the office once every week or so to catch up, socialize and enjoy our amazing office space!
