Thrive Albuquerque is looking for a Veterinary Tech to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

As a Veterinary Technician,  you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist doctors with examinations 
• Patient admission/discharge 
• Obtaining proper vitals and diagnostics 
• Venipuncture and IV Catheter Placement 
• Calculate drug dosage and volumes; calculate and prepare constant rate infusions 
• Animal nursing care 
• Anesthesia administration and monitoring 
• Basic radiology skills 
• Ability to properly follow state and federal drug regulations

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• At least 2 years of recent experience at a veterinary practice
• RVT preferred, not required
• Works well with a team
• Experience with animal restraint
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Must be available for on-call (rotating schedule)
