Additional Information about our Surgery Programs: 
VOSM’s in Annapolis Junction, MD. Our caseload includes a major emphasis on working and sporting dogs, as well companions. We have a strong presence in the national and international performance dog communities. Our Orthopedic Surgery Department performs procedures ranging from standard TPLOs and fracture repair all the way to total hip replacement. The use of arthroscopy for diagnosis and treatment is the standard of care at VOSM. We are also outfitted with fluoroscopy for minimally invasive orthopedic procedures. The internal referral from surgery to rehabilitation is standard of care. Our Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Departments focuses on regenerative medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, rehabilitation and conditioning for companions and canine athletes. Our facility boasts two underwater treadmills, a hydrotherapy conditioning pool, and canine exercise gym. Our certified canine rehabilitation practitioners are well-versed in rehabilitation modalities, including therapeutic ultrasound, photobiomodulation (class IV and IIIb lasers), shock wave therapy, e-Stim and manual therapies. 
ACCESS Animal Hospitals-Pasadena is proud to offer a surgery internship in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment with a busy primary emergency caseload in addition to a large secondary and tertiary referral base, providing extensive hands on experience to become strong well-rounded surgeon. The surgery internship is led by our two ACVS-boarded surgeons with the support of board-certified specialists in critical care, internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology on site. Rotation with other specialists is encouraged. Over the course of the internship, intern should expect to have increasing primary case management responsibilities with the support of our surgeons and other specialist services, leading to the ability to operate as the primary surgeon under direct supervision for a variety of soft tissue procedures. In preparation for residency, the Intern participates in daily cage-side rounds, and weekly rounds consisting of didactics, journal club, and M & M rounds.  
Additional Information about our Neurology Program: 
At Tampa Bay VS&ECC, you will work directly with our board-certified neurologist, whose passion for teaching has a strong track record with both interns and residents. The Neurology service has a 4-day work week, with on-call support for the Emergency Department every 3rd week. The internship is designed to provide a well-rounded educational experience, incorporating both clinical and didactic learning. Our day starts with hospital-wide in-patient rounds to ensure collaboration and learning among our team. The Neurology service participates in monthly regional journal club and in-house monthly book club/topic rounds. The intern will have primary case responsibility of neurology emergency cases (always with direct specialist support), the opportunity to learn technical aspects of MRI operation and preliminary in-house CSF analysis, and a neurosurgical cadaver training lab. The intern will be given the opportunity to rotate through other specialty services, as well as time to visit and interview with residency programs.
