OUR PRACTICE

We offer emergency and specialty care for dogs and cats in Tampa and Pinellas County. We specialize in cardiology, dermatology, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, and surgery.

 

Established in 1982, Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists was the first multi-specialty veterinary hospital on the west coast of Florida. Today, Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care Center has grown to include advanced and specialized veterinary services in Dermatology, Emergency & Neurology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Oncology, and Surgery. With a dedicated veterinary healthcare staff, Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care Center provides 24-hour compassionate care seven days a week to over 13,000 patients annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff to ensure a compassionate and collaborative work environment.
  • Motivated to foster a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students visiting the hospital.
  • Triage and facilitate treatment plans for emergency patients.
  • Continue care of specialty patients who are hospitalized overnight and on weekends.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
  • Provide clear and complete communication to clients and support staff.
  • Communicate with referral partners (verbally and with referral letters)
  • Attend morning rounds to collaborate with specialists on the currently hospitalized patients.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Support the hospital's Fear-Free culture and commitment.
