** This position will ideally be based out of our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX and will be hybrid. Individuals need to be willing to commute to Downtown Austin 2 days a week. We will also consider individuals in DFW, San Antonio and Houston for a remote role with some travel for business needs. **

Job Summary:
The Field Finance Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Group Vice President to drive the financial performance of one of Thrive’s four operational regions. This role involves analyzing data, monitoring financial performance and providing decision making support. A successful candidate will have strong business partnering and influencing skills, financial acumen, and the ability to clearly communicate financial concepts.

Responsibilities:  
Leading with Your Head
Understanding business, solving problems, and making decisions through inclusive contributions of others
  • Drive business results by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and making recommendations to operations team that deliver revenue and EBITDA growth
  • Monitor key cost components to identify areas of improvement
  • Develop budgets and monitor performance against operating plans and key initiatives
  • Create business cases for new veterinary practices and relocations and expansions of existing locations
  • Calculate ROIs for capital investments for medical equipment
  • Provide reporting and ad hoc analysis to business partners
Leading with Your Heart
Interpersonal aspect of leading with Emotional Intelligence (EQ), effective use of influence, working together constructively and creatively
  • Partner with broader Financial Planning and Analysis team to share insights, analysis approach, and leverage reporting capabilities
Leading With Your Hands
The art of bringing people together to leverage their skills, talents, and knowledge to achieve a common purpose with greater results
  • Serve as training resource to educate field on how to interpret financial data and access financial reports
Key Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant finance work experience
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
  • Experience in field finance, operations finance or similar
  • Solid financial acumen, analytical aptitude and highly proficient in accounting and financial principles
  • Strong proficiency in forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling
  • Ability to efficiently manipulate large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel
  • Veterinary, multi-site healthcare, multi-store retail or similar experience
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights, Workday financial software or a similar platform
