We are looking for a Veterinary Customer Service Representative/Receptionist to join Thrive Pet Healthcare Oltorf in Austin, Tx!

This position includes a 4 day, 10 hour shift time from 7:45AM-6:30 PM with rotating Saturdays.
      

As a customer service representative, your main focus will be creating the positive client experience. You will be instrumental in this by welcoming each visitor into the practice with a warm smile and greeting. You will be familiar with the schedule of appointments so that you are prepared to welcome each pet and pet parent by name.

As the first point of contact, you will assist visitors with the check-in process and provide them with a clear understanding of the appointment process. Help them to feel comfortable and answer any questions they may have regarding the process. Once the appointment is complete and the client has finished the check-out process, help see them out and assist with their pet as needed with a treat and a smile.
       

The ideal applicant will be friendly and outgoing, with a love for both pets and people with a great attitude and a smile.
      
Role Responsibilities:    
    • Answering the telephone, screen calls, take and relay messages accurately
    •  Schedule appointments for all hospital services
    • Greet clients and pets in a friendly and welcoming manner
       
    • Ensure that clients are handled in a timely, efficient manner according to their appointment time  
    • Maintain accurate client records by verifying the information on file and following hospital procedures for all clients checking in and out   
    • Maintain the common areas of the office for cleanliness
    • Appointment confirmations via call, text or email
    • Communication on any customer service issues with manager so that they can handle the issue 
    • Follow up on cremations and mailing client sympathy cards  

Experience & Skill Requirement:    

    • Experience in administrative or clerical activities is preferred
      
    • Previous veterinary hospital experience a plus
    • Knowledge of administrative procedures
    • Good communication skills and professional personal presentation 
    • Ability to manage information and multi-task 
    • Attention to detail
