At North County Animal Hospital, we offer primary care for cats, dogs, and pocket pets in Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Miguel, Heritage Ranch, Creston, Santa Margarita, and San Luis Obispo.      
   
We also offer urgent care during our regular business hours and welcome same-day, walk-in appointments.      

Our Ideal Candidate:        

  • Registered Veterinary Technician

Job Skills Required:       

  • Collection of blood, stool, urine or tissue samples for testing
  • X-rays
  • Sterilizing instruments and equipment
  • Assisting with dental procedures
  • Preparing animals for surgery
  • Administering anesthesia to animals
  • Maintaining medical records; case history, weight, temperature, and other details
  • Restraining and stabilizing animals during examination and treatment
  • Trimming nails, expressing anal glands, removal of sutures, etc.
  • Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Teaching clients how to administer medicines at home

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate of $26 / hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
