Work Pattern:

Shift Pattern is on a weekly rota basis with a short/early finish on Fridays

Early shift: Monday to Thursday 6am – 1.45pm; Fridays – 6am to 11.30am

Late shift : Monday to Thursday 1.30pm – 9.15pm; Fridays – 11.15am – 5pm

Essential Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 20kg

Main Purpose of Job & Accountability:

Reporting to the Warehouse & Finishing Manager, the job holder will have responsibility for packing all rewound labels and preparing them for dispatch.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Specific Areas of Responsibility include:

· The Packing Operatives are responsible for properly performing all checks as required by the Process Plan of Control. The Packing Operative is responsible for the quality of their work. The quantity of work performed by the Packing Operatives must meet or exceed the standards established by the Operations Manager.

· The Packing Operatives are responsible for relaying any information that will affect the quality of the work being produced to the appropriate associates. This information must be communicated accurately and in a timely manner.

· The Packing Operatives are accountable for all functions described in this Job Description as well as other assignments and duties as directed by the Operations Manager and other members of the Management Team.

· Packing Operatives are accountable for the work that they perform and that the work is accurate, timely, and meets the standards established by the Operations Manager.

· It is the Packing Operatives responsibility to up hold Multi-Color’s philosophy, rules and regulations as well as supporting and offering suggestions on how to improve the quality and quantity of work being performed in the Printing Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· SOPs have been developed to assist the Packing Operatives. These and Current Best Approach, Work Instructions and Check Sheets must be used and followed at all times.

· Each Employee is responsible for practicing safety at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, following all posted safety rules, common safety practices, correcting hazardous conditions within their area of responsibility and reporting unsafe conditions in any area to the Despatch Supervisor.

· The Packing Operatives are responsible for the Quality of Housekeeping in accordance with common and accepted Housekeeping practices.

Tasks:

· Packing boxes from radius system

· Inspect rewound product quality standards

· Pack product according to specific customer requirements

· Achieve 100% specified checks as required

· Maintain all paperwork as required

· Ensure all handovers to incoming shifts passed over

· Follow SOP’s (paperwork)
