The Junior Maintenance Technician or Flexographic Screen Head Technician leads the cleaning and maintenance process as it pertains to rotary screen heads as well as other embellishment equipment. Orders and maintains parts inventory for screen head repairs, schedules maintenance work orders and collaborates with maintenance dept. if needed.  In addition, this position is responsible for supporting press needs during machine breakdown as well as maintaining a scheduled cadence for calibrating and testing for function on equipment ranging from screen heads, foil towers, and external bearing maintenance as dictated by conditions or assigned by the Flexo press Supervisor or Flexo Operations Manager.

Responsibilities: 
  • Perform both major and minor repairs to screen heads and embellishment production equipment.
  • Maintain, track, and update preventative maintenance plans and programs for screen heads and embellishment production equipment as directed.
  • Provide timely, practical, and professional response to work orders issued from internal customers and communicate the status of work orders to those internal customers.
  • Routinely survey and document the electrical and mechanical condition of screen heads and embellishment production equipment in accordance with pre-established preventive maintenance plans and programs.
  • Utilize testing equipment and measuring devices to verify tolerances, check dimensions, troubleshoot, and maintain machine consistency and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain an on-hand serviceable parts inventory in order to minimize downtime on the presses.
  • Document training tools for future technician use and operations team.
  • Related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: 
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free.  Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
  • Minimum of 5 years troubleshooting and repairing Flexographic print equipment or equivalent.
  • Ability to read & understand maintenance manuals, and parts manuals.
  • Possess high mechanical ability.
  • Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time.
  • Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
