The HR Adviser will be responsible for supporting the delivery of effective and efficient Human Resource practices for both MCC’s Adelaide and Perth sites. Providing a customer centric and responsive Human Resource service, the HR Adviser will provide people managers with balanced advice and support as well as providing the end-to-end HR operational needs. 
Working with Group HR and the broader HR team, you will support and drive initiatives for the allocated sites as well as when required support regional HR projects regionally. This includes co-ordinating key projects and cyclical activities as well as undertaking other MCC HR operational activity and building capability and skills across the sites. 
Your deliverables will be focused on: 
  • Proactively act and position self as the HR Adviser for allocated sites and support the HR team in the delivery of HR initiatives.
  • Provide timely and accurate generalist Human Resource support to people managers.
  • Input into HR plans
  • Identify and deliver on agreed process improvements.
  • Work with managers to ensure they understand and adhere to HR policies and practice.
  • Support recruitment programs and initiatives support
  • Promote MCC values and behaviours.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and work with teams to implement.
  • Ensure all required documents are generated deliver on time and to standards including letters of offer, variations, and terminations.
  • Keep abreast HR trends, legislation, and best practices.
  • Undertake job evaluations and make remuneration recommendations.
  • Collaborating with the payroll team to ensure remuneration changes and legislative obligations are implemented accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Promote MCC diversity agenda and role model our values and behaviours.
 
We’re looking for someone who’s practical, hands-on, and resilient. Ideally, you’ll have experience both in a large corporate, so you know where we’re heading, and in a smaller business, so you get where we are. Specifically, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following: 
  • Experience in a Human Resources generalist role with exposure to recruitment preferably, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Outstanding systems capabilities
  • Strong MS Word, Excel
  • Experience in using an HCM (Dayforce Ceridian would be advantageous)
  • Well-developed HR administration skills gained in a high-volume complex environment.
  • Practical experience working with an applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Demonstrated skills in recruitment and talent management
  • Outstanding organisational ability
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent cross-cultural capability
  • A flexible, adaptable team player with a commitment to results and engagement of key stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, lateral thinker and is comfortable working in a fluid and ambiguous environment
