About the role 

An exciting and immediate opportunity for a HP Digital Print Operator to join our established print operations team based in our East Tamaki plant. This full-time permanent position (40 hours a week) that will be working on a rotating shift and will join a team who are the success behind our label professionals. The HP operator is responsible for operating and maintaining HP equipment or systems. They ensure the smooth and accurate functioning of the HP technology, whether it pertains to computer systems, printing equipment, or other HP-related machinery. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Independent operation of the HP printers 

  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting tasks  

  • Collaboration with technical support or maintenance teams for more complex repairs or issues requiring specialised expertise 

  • Monitor equipment outputs, including print quality, system performance, or data integrity, and address any issues or errors promptly. 

  • Load and unload materials and supplies  

  • Maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies  

  • Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and production output 

  • Stay updated with the latest HP technologies, equipment, and operating procedures.

 About you 

  • Previous experience operating and maintaining HP technology or similar technology  

  • Experience in label printing preferred 

  • Basic understanding of HP technologies, computer systems, or printing processes 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision 

  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team 

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 

  • Ability to stand for long periods (whole shift) 

  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 15kg's 

  • Physically capable of regularly twisting, bend & conduct manual handling tasks 

  • Ability to see all colours (no colour blindness concerns) 

  • Your natural working style is with a sense of urgency
