Security Guard Supervisor

General Description:

  • Responsible for managing a secure entrance and perimeter for the facility
  • Learn all the jobs of your immediate staff.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of reports done by staff
  • Complete daily and weekly reports as needed
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of staff; implement disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  • Resolve employee’s conflicts and issues promptly and objectively.
  • Direct communication with company and outside services
  • Work in the Order Management System/Shop Floor
  • Work with the Plant Shipping/Shag Service/Traffic
  • Work with the Traffic Department to coordinate shipping date, times, and locations
  • Maintain logs for inbound and outbound trucks
  • Attend meetings as scheduled
  • Reports to Safety Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required skills:

  • Previous security related experience preferred but not required
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required
  • 10-key and computer skills required
  • Ability to handle conflict
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Communication skills—written and verbal
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred but not required
  • Self-starter and Team player
  • Strong leadership / management skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check

 

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in security guard shacks, security vehicles in hot and cold conditions
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to walk, run, sit and stand for extended periods of time 
  • Lift up to 50lbs.

 

Education Requirements (if applicable)

 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
