IT MANAGER - FIELD SUPPORT REGION 3

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking a technically strong IT Manager - Field Support to provide infrastructure oversight and technical guidance across JBS/Pilgrim's manufacturing locations in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama. This position reports to the IT Director based in the Corporate Office in Greeley, Colorado.

 

This role provides dotted-line technical oversight to plant IT technicians across the region, ensuring consistent infrastructure standards, timely resolution of production-impacting issues, and successful delivery of IT projects across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable in a plant environment, and capable of driving technical standards while collaborating with corporate IT teams.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to plant IT technicians across Region 3, ensuring consistent standards, accountability, and quality of work
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for infrastructure issues across regional plant locations
  • Manage project priorities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Provide hands-on support for network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, wireless controllers, cabling, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Provide on-call support for production-critical issues, including after-hours and weekends as needed
  • Collaborate with network engineering and corporate IT teams to implement infrastructure improvements across regional locations
  • Enforce hardware and software standards across all sites to ensure consistency and supportability
  • Review and approve site-specific SOPs for technology used in regional facilities
  • Document systems, processes, and technical procedures for regional infrastructure
  • Work collaboratively with business and IT leadership to align regional IT systems with long-term business strategy
  • Advise plant leadership on technical direction and solutions to address operational challenges
  • Coach, mentor, and develop plant IT technicians to improve technical capabilities across the region
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:
 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, network engineering, information technology, or equivalent industry experience
  • 6+ years of IT experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing or providing technical leadership to distributed IT teams
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco switch configurations, VLANs, and network troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of network cabling standards, structured cabling, and connectivity in industrial environments
  • Experience supporting Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with production floor technology, including label printers, handheld scanners, wireless infrastructure, and shop floor systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across geographically distributed sites
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both with technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Willingness to travel to plant locations 40-45% of the time
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed
     

Preferred:

  • CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Experience in food manufacturing or meat production environments
  • Experience with IT asset management and lifecycle processes in plant environments

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $79,000-$85,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
