POSITION SUMMARY:  The Water Resource Operator is responsible for assisting in maintaining, repairing and the efficient operation of the water treatment facility to insure continuous operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follows all work safety policies/guidelines
2. Operates water treatment facility in the most economical and efficient manner in accordance with company, MN Dept of Health and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency standards.
3. Performs in-plant lab testing to obtain accurate and consistence results.
4. Conducts preventative maintenance program on all equipment keeping it in good working order at all times to assure continuous operation.
5. Perform maintenance on all equipment including repairing, installing and rebuilding as necessary.
6. Basic knowledge of Membrane Bio Reactor System
7. Assist in maintaining grounds.
8. Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
9. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
10. Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies
11. Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.  Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization
12. Other duties as directed by the supervisor or manager.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Class D water and wastewater license.
• Working skill in Water Treatment plant operations.
• Working knowledge of chemical analysis procedures
• Working knowledge of computer usage
• Considerable ability to lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds)
• Working skills in maintenance and repair
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent attendance required.
