General Description:  
This position will assist the controller with daily accounting tasks at the plant. This includes but is not limited to the accounting and reconciliation of expenses, accruals, purchases, receiving, and inventory. The supervisor will help draft P&L statements weekly as well as monthly close functions. When the controller is away from the office, the supervisor will be responsible for the accounting department.
 
Job responsibilities include: 
·          Reconcile, adjust, and maintain fresh & frozen inventory within JBS perpetual inventory system with a high level of accuracy  
·          Compile and analyze daily production, and report yields to plant stakeholders
·          Run weekly expense reports, review for accuracy and compare to budget
·          With the controller, compile weekly P&L and distribute to the team
·          Month-end closing procedures include accruals, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, inventory counting, income statement overview, and required SOX controls for this location
·          Monitor purchase orders and track P2P transactions
·          Assist other departments with their accounting inquiries
·          Other duties as requested
 
Systems Used: Microsoft Office 365, internal warehouse management system as well as an internal perpetual inventory management system. General computer knowledge, effective communication skills, & critical thinking are required.  This is a support position for plant operations; time management and attention to detail are needed 
Requirements
·          Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
·          Minimum of 2 years accounting educational experience (preferred), or 5 years of office or industry experience
·          Microsoft Office proficient; Microsoft Excel knowledge mandatory; SAP or similar
·          Weekend availability required
