Purpose/General Summary: During this 10-week summer internship, you will use your unique perspective and knowledge to help us find operational gaps and improve process efficiency in a way that makes a genuine mark on our business. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day activities and provide operational support across multiple production areas.
  • Feed Manufacturing: Gain hands-on experience with feed mill operations, including order processing, ingredient receiving, inventory management, loadout procedures, and feed quality control.
  • Wean-to-Finish Production: Learn pig flow, stocking strategies, and marketing processes based on health and logistics. Understand modern hog farming practices, facility design, and ventilation systems. Collaborate with Field Managers and interact with key stakeholders such as contract producers, veterinary services, and production accounting.
  • Sow Production: Acquire knowledge of breeding barn operations, sow care during gestation, and farrowing processes from loading to weaning. Understand overall farm flow and its connection to finishing operations.

Qualifications: 

  • Enrolled in four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation:

-          $22/hour with $2,500 relocation stipend if applicable
