Live Planning & Systems Analyst

 

This position supports Pilgrim’s locations with live supply chain planning. This includes but is not limited oversight in scheduling of hen movements, pullet placements, egg movements, chick movements, egg & byproduct purchases, and spent hen sells. The position is focused on providing operations with the best and most efficient plan to maximize company resources. Moreover, meet the demands of the locations to keep plant operations running as planned. Be strategic in decisions made both short and long term to improve the supply chain management.  This person will develop the tools to support and streamline the process.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for identifying and displaying the opportunities by business unit and complex. Making decisions to keep our live supply chain whole in order to keep our plants and facilities running with appropriate number of birds.
  • Strategic planning and oversight of the Live Supply Chain allowing for increased optimization of resources from pullets placed, egg movements, and hen sales, among others.
  • Increase live data and the need for multi-system integration of systems like MTech, Concept 5, SAP, BataRaven, and others specific to our industry. 
  • Will further integrate these platforms and optimize the use of these systems. This allows for data mining for opportunities with the use of a BI (Qlik View / Qlik Sense).
  • Work cross functionally with IT, Live Project Owners, Tech Services, Live Managers, BU Leaders, and Sales.
  • Building strategic supply plans at the complex, business units, and company level.
  • Addressing discrepancies between planned and actual broiler operations and adjusting supply plans accordingly.
  • Acting as point of contact for vendors and managing shipment schedules.
  • Support improvements in Live Analytics to enhance organizational growth.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Live Planning (placing of primary stock, breeder movements, egg movements and sets, broiler placements, and slaughter schedules)
  • Live BI (Business Intelligence)
  • Oversight of overall Live Supply Chain management and efficiency. 

 

Educational Requirements:

 

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

College degree in business, supply chain management or analytics or equivalent experience preferred.

 

BASIC SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 

At least 2 years’ experience in supply chain and planning

Microsoft Office experience required

MTech experience required 

SAP experience preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills
