Job Description:

Do you enjoy collaborating with others, often serving as the main communication hub to get things done for the wider team? Are you a self-driven critical thinker that enjoys solving puzzles? The Contract Analyst will provide guidance and oversight as related to statements of work (SOWs) and delivery onboarding documents, identifying risks while working closing with the Contract Manager to identify mitigating alternatives to the Splunk Global Professional Services business. The Contract Analyst will engage the Contract Manager for negotiation support on all configuration and implementation agreements and partner agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess SOWs and delivery onboarding documents for nonstandard financial obligations, contract terms and provisions
  • Highlight those obligations, terms and provisions for rejection or approval, and as needed by the regional professional services leaders, partner managers and back office teams (legal, finance, HR, etc.)
  • Highlight and summarize those obligations, terms and provisions agreed to in SOWs, PSAs and partner agreements for awareness and compliance
  • Coordinate with the Contract Manager on configuration and implementation agreements and partner agreements
  • Review and approve non-billable resource requests
  • Support and work with the Contract Manager on related policies and processes to ensure compliance
  • Respond to various partner/stakeholder questions, inquiries, requests for clarification, etc., regarding contract terms and conditions or other items
  • Support special projects on request

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience preferred in a deal desk, contracts specialist, or contracts analyst role
  • Understanding of the Professional Services business, operations and business terms and conditions
  • Ability to cross collaborate with multiple organizations and disciplines, leading in conflict management and resolution
  • Basic understanding of enterprise software legal terms a plus
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition compliance
  • Customer facing experience!
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of negotiation tactics and decorum, prioritization based on forecast requirements: size, complexity, and strategy
  • Critical and creative thinking skills, and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Focus on quarterly and annual fiscal targets, supporting contract close requirements
  • Salesforce.com/Apttus experience a plus…also balancing, cat herding, or plate spinning

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $108,000.00 - 148,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $97,200.00 - 133,650.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $86,400.00 - 118,800.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
