Role Summary
Do you enjoy solving sophisticated, technical security problems at scale? As a member of the Software Security Engineering organization, you will work with engineering organizations to implement secure development practices across the Splunk product portfolio. Within this role, you will develop groundbreaking software solutions that automate security scanning and shorten vulnerability remediation cycles. You will partner closely with Product Security and CI/CD teams to integrate critical security tooling into the SDLC, which helps thousands of engineers securely ship their products to market.

What you'll get to do
- Research, automate, and tune security scanning tools that provide SAST, DAST, and SCA within the company's CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with product engineering teams to streamline security processes, improve developer workflow, and raise security awareness.
- Partner with customers, regulators, and compliance teams to implement secure software development practices across the Splunk product portfolio.
Must-have Qualifications
- 5 years in DevOps, SRE, Security, or Software Development roles.
- Proficient with one or more modern programming languages such as Golang, Java, React, C++, and Python.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
We’ve taken special care to separate the must-have qualifications from the nice-to-haves. “Nice-to-have” means just that: Nice. To. Have. So, don’t worry if you can’t check off every box. We’re not hiring a list of bullet points–we’re interested in the whole you.
- Experience in building and deploying in cloud native environments such as AWS is a bonus.
- Experience implementing security tooling and automation within software build pipelines is a plus.
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or GIAC Security Essentials.
