Renewal Marketing Manager
Description
- Develop targeted marketing initiatives to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the customer base. Create campaigns that help with value realization and promote products driving increased revenue from existing accounts.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to segment the customer base; build integrated, segment specific marketing campaigns that reinforce the value of Splunk’s offerings and execute these campaigns through -- direct reach, web, community, social etc.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to understand customer needs, pain points, and opportunities for expansion. Develop marketing programs that align with sales goals and help them close upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Partner with various product team leaders and SMEs from Security, and Observability in creating GTM plans and content aligning to personas, customer segments and use cases.
- Collaborate with the adoption team to map the customer journey and identify key moments where expansion opportunities can be presented, ensuring seamless and relevant messaging across touchpoints.
- Lead initiatives aimed at reducing churn and increasing long-term retention. Design and execute campaigns to drive higher engagement and other initiatives that foster long-term customer relationships.
- Regularly analyze customer feedback & work closely with competitive SMEs to continuously refine retention strategies and proactively address at-risk accounts.
- Create content such as demos, presentations, solutions briefs, technical and non-technical product videos, articles, product guides, playbooks etc. in support of campaigns.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of campaigns and provide regular updates to leadership on the success of customer expansion and retention initiatives, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Understand our customers’ challenges to create enablement content such as how-to-use videos and articles for wider adoption, expansion & higher retention.
- Understanding of Cloud infrastructure, Security & Observability products and software as a service delivery model is a plus.
- Prior experience of working closely with sales and understanding of account renewals strategies with a strong technical background and a can-do attitude is critical.
- 5+ years of product, industry or solutions marketing experience , knowledge of Splunk technologies is a plus.
- Experience in Technical Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer Success Marketing, or Services Marketing functions is a plus. Bonus for past experience of working with sales teams.
- Amazing written and oral communications skills including ability to craft differentiated positioning and messaging, develop customer facing content, build effective sales enablement content, and deliver compelling presentations.
- Demonstrated experience building end-to-end campaigns. Experience accelerating customer maturity with adoption, expansion and retention programs is a plus.
- Consistent cross-functional collaborator, and business partner, directly contributing to teams to achieve overall objectives. A team player who can work cross-functionally and is able to influence without direct authority
- Self-starter who truly enjoys working in fast-paced, high-growth, and career-defining environments, someone who brings a versatile skill set and has a bias for action.
- Bachelor of Science or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline; MBA preferred.
