Compensation
Salary Range: $103,721 – $146,827 (Grade C – 657 Hay points)
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for managing Depot Training Supervisors, Probationary Employee Program Management, and New Bus Vendor Training Program Management. The key duties of each program include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for managing Depot Training Supervisors, Probationary Employee Program Management, and New Bus Vendor Training Program Management. The key duties of each program include, but are not limited to:
Manage Depot Training Supervisors
- Manage and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Depot Training Supervisor (DTS) Program.
- Develop working relationships and network with management from 32 depots/shops, Chief Maintenance Office (CMO) support groups, and vendor training managers and trainers.
- On-board and develop Depot Training Supervisors. Support depots by scheduling DTS support coverage.
- Prepare periodic reports to monitor DTS time and attendance, performance, and overtime budget.
Probationary Employee Program Management:
- Manage and develop "Standard Operating Procedures" (SOP) for Probationary Program.
- Update probationary employee program guidelines.
- Communicate probationary employee evaluation process to depot management.
- Create and monitor reports showing how much training time is spent with probationary employees.
- Audit probationary employee reviews and observations.
New Bus Vendor Training Program Management:
- Coordinate with New Bus group to offer input on amount and type of classes based on varying information.
- Review proposed training plans to ensure it meets with NYCT needs; submit requested changes as needed.
- Obtain and review training material, slides, and handouts.
- Track bus contract training budget, generate Training Plan spreadsheet based off contract price agreement.
- Communicate the training availability and description of courses available to the depots, Depot Training Supervisors, and CMO support groups.
- Create Tableau reports to track depot utilization of vendor training.
- Track the delivery of new bus fleets (delivery and locations).
- Manage a yearly schedule of all vendor training being held provided.
- Monitor and reconcile contract remaining training funds to maximize funds available availability in contract.
- Audit Reconcile all vendor training invoices to verify that charges match price schedule.
Education and Experience
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in transportation management, engineering, related field and eight (8) years of full-time related experience, and at least four (4) years of which must have been in a managerial/supervisory OR
2. A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience.

- Ability to coordinate all phases of planning, scheduling, budgets, contracts, invoicing, and audits.
- Knowledge of DOB / MTA Bus policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of training techniques, and curriculum, and personnel development.
- Advanced working knowledge of PC applications and Enterprise systems (i.e., Excel, Word, Spear, Visio, Tableau and PeopleSoft ELM) with ability to generate spreadsheets and analyze data.
- Effective project management and strategic planning skills with ability to align strategies with business needs and operational issues.
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify and resolve related issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Ability to be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate, train, network, and influence others.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience in human capital development, work prioritization, and overtime distribution.
- Knowledge of NYCT maintenance procedures and policies
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
