Logistics Planner III
Description
Support the CCD Tariff Team in daily, weekly, and monthly execution of tariff impact reporting, Section 232 credit application support, government refund tracking, customer allocation, and tariff-related data management. This position is allocated 100% to CCD and is based at the El Paso office / ECSC. The role supports the Assistant Manager, Business Planner II, CCD Tariff Team, and CCD General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare or support monthly tariff impact reports for Expeditors/GPP, Rudolph Miles/Mexico, UPS/GPP, YUSEN/GPP, and other assigned categories.
- Support monthly tariff impact P&L analysis.
- Organize supporting data by customer, broker, origin, HTS code, country of origin, import value, duty rate, and duty amount.
- Complete assigned monthly reporting during business day 1–5 timing.
- Review broker-provided information, Form 7501, invoice data, packing list data, and ACE-related information.
- Check key data elements used for tariff calculation, including country of origin, HTS code, import value, duty rate, and duty amount.
- Identify missing, inconsistent, or unusual data and escalate to the Business Planner II or Assistant Manager.
- Support daily Section 232 credit application activity for Expeditors, Rudolph Miles, UPS, and other applicable brokers.
- Track application status, required documents, missing information, broker responses, credit amounts, and unresolved issues.
- Support available benefit, rebate, refund, and tariff mitigation tracking.
- Support weekly FY25 PSC progress tracking and review for Expeditors and Rudolph Miles.
- Support FY25 IEEPA progress tracking and review as assigned.
- Maintain organized tracking files, status reports, backup documents, and audit support records.
- Support tariff impact recognition activities used by Sales and Business Units for customer recovery discussions.
- Communicate with customs brokers and internal stakeholders to obtain missing tariff, declaration, credit, or refund information.
- Maintain clear follow-up logs and supporting files for assigned tasks.
- Follow and improve standard work instructions, templates, checklists, and tracking files.
- Identify repetitive manual work and recommend improvements.
- Support the Assistant Manager, Business Planner II, CCD Tariff Team, and CCD General Manager with tariff-related reporting, data analysis, documentation, and special projects.
- Perform other CCD tariff team duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, accounting, finance, international trade, or related field preferred.
- Experience in logistics, customs compliance, import operations, data reporting, customer support, or administrative planning preferred.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. import processes, broker activity, CBP Form 7501, HTS codes, country of origin, import value, and duty calculation preferred.
- Strong Excel skills required, including data sorting, filtering, lookup formulas, pivot tables, and report preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to collect, validate, reconcile, and summarize data from multiple sources.
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions and meet recurring daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Good communication, follow-up, and documentation skills. 8. 5-7 years progressive professional business accounting/finance experience.
