About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Cost Control Manager to join our team at First Sumiden Circuits Inc. in Cabuyao City, Laguna. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our production processes, ensuring optimal cost control and efficiency. 

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement cost control strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  2. Analyze production data to identify cost drivers and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  3. Prepare and monitor production cost reports, budgets, and forecasts to support management decisions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  5. Provide cost optimization insights and recommendations to management.
  6. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal control policies.
  7. Lead, mentor, and oversee cost analysts and production control staff.

What we're looking for:

Education

Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably in an Engineering-related course.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in Production Cost Control, Production Planning, Manufacturing Finance, or related manufacturing operations leading production cost control, budgeting, inventory management, and cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in budget planning, cost analysis, inventory control, labor cost management, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Experience in a Japanese manufacturing company is highly preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) manufacturing processes.

Technical Competencies

The candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in:

  • Production cost control and cost reduction strategies. Budget preparation, monitoring, and Budget vs. Actual analysis. Cost forecasting and financial planning.
  • Manufacturing cost components, including: Direct Materials, Direct Labor, Variable Expenses, Repairs and Maintenance, Spare Parts & Production Overhead
  • Inventory costing methodologies and inventory control.
  • Material requirement planning and material usage monitoring.
  • Production scheduling and capacity planning.
  • Labor cost management and direct labor headcount planning.
  • Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis and interpretation of Financial Statements.
  • Inventory optimization while ensuring uninterrupted production.
