Sourcing Specialist
Description
- College graduate of any 4 year course; Engineering course is an advantage
- 4-6 years of experience in purchasing/procurement/supply chain.
- Experience with ERP with purchasing module.
- Experience in supplier management, contract management, or sourcing.
- Manufacturing environment exposure (electronics or similar).
- Knowledge/experience in ISO and IATF requirements and working environment is an advantage.
- Experience with supplier performance management and scorecards.
- Experience with EOL risk management or supply continuity planning.
- Understanding of procurement and sourcing principles (cost,
- quality, delivery, risk).
- Knowledge of end-to-end purchasing cycle.
- EOL risk management and supply continuity planning knowledge.
- Supplier management skills: AVL maintenance, scorecards,
- contract management.
- Analytical skills: able to track and report on supplier performance,
- EOL risks, and contract status.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with CFT and suppliers.
Core Job Functions
- Supplier Identification & Selection: Researching potential vendors, conducting RFPs (Request for Proposals), and evaluating bids based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Securing favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs), as well as drafting and managing contracts.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining partnerships with suppliers, monitoring performance, and resolving issues to ensure continuous supply.
- Market Analysis & Cost Optimization: Monitoring market trends, commodity prices, and risks, while analyzing the total cost of ownership to identify savings.
- Strategic Sourcing Strategy: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement processes with organizational goals, including the use of tools like SAP or Microsoft Office.
- Risk Mitigation: Developing strategies to manage potential supply disruptions, including diversifying the supplier base and implementing contingency plans.
