Role Summary
You will experience Splunking and what defines our culture while honing the skills which separate our development teams from others. You will get to work with smart and hardworking individuals who are doing state of the art development work in areas of machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, infrastructure and event correlations across silos to build best-in-class business analytics software.
What you'll get to do
- Contribute to building the next generation of our large scale cloud offering.
- Contribute through participation in agile development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing support of systems.
- Work under the close supervision of a mentor with weekly check-ins.
Must-have Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field, and a strong record of academic achievement
- At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship
- Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks
Nice-to-have Qualifications
We’ve taken special care to separate the must-have qualifications from the nice-to-haves. “Nice-to-have” means just that: Nice. To. Have. So, don’t worry if you can’t check off every box. We’re not hiring a list of bullet points–we’re interested in the whole you.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms
- Exposure to working with container deployment and orchestration technologies
- Ability to effectively work across teams and functions
- Understanding of Systems programming (network stack, file system, OS services) and networking (L2 vs. L3, network architecture, VLANs, etc)
- Ability to collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Our Splunktern Program allows incoming interns the flexibility to choose from three start/end dates, currently anticipated to be:
- Monday, May 19, 2025 - Friday, August 8, 2025
- Monday, June 2, 2025 - Friday, August 22, 2025
- Monday, June 16, 2025 - Friday, September 5, 2025
