Description

You are responsible for managing the supply around all new product introductions within the Gate Driver division. This includes the coordination & production planning for our Biel workshop, the coordination and negotiation with our manufacturing partners and the identification and development of new suppliers for new products. You are also responsible for warehousing and shipping processes to ensure reliable and timely delivery of engineering samples and prototypes to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for getting new products successfully launched respecting cost, time, quality and capacity
  • Responsible for production planning in Biel production workshop
  • Responsible for coordinating new product launches with suppliers and lead weekly coordination meetings to ensure on-time launches & deliveries
  • Responsible for warehouse management in Biel including inventory management, shipping processes and traceability
  • Coordination of warehouse & production staff in the Biel workshop
  • Improvement of systems and processes for workshop in Biel and warehouses worldwide to enable seamless processing of deliveries, orders and transfers
  • Participation in supply chain projects (system enhancements, process improvements etc.)
  • Price negotiations and costing of new products
  • Identification and evaluation of new suppliers for new products in coordination with the team
  • Support of the purchasing team in negotiating prices and creating purchase requisitions & orders

Education and work experience:

  • University degree in a technical or business field
  • 3+ years of experience working as an NPI Planner, Production/Supply planner, Buyer or similar role
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, basics of Word & PowerPoint

Professional expertise:

  • Broad experience in planning and purchasing
  • Experience managing complex planning challenges with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working in the electronics industry of advantage
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Oracle)
  • Experience analyzing business processes and developing improvements
  • English and German fluent (written and spoken)
