Senior Field Applications Engineer (Sr FAE), India South
Location: Bangalore 
Job Description 
The Field Application Engineer will be responsible for Application support in India – South territory and will be based out of Bangalore
  • Provide application and design support based on end application in terms of paper designs / building and testing of boards using Power Integrations’ products
  • Regularly visiting customers independently or with the assigned Sales in charge
  • Provide PI direct support to Key customers defined by Field sales
  • Independent handling of accounts for technical support
  • Update customer with latest production information and support customer with custom demo boards along with engineering report
  • Organize and conduct customer visits, delivering technical product presentations, demonstrations, and deploying value propositions effectively
  • Proactively monitor and support the customer project design process from inception to design win, ensuring regular updates on project progress and timely response to project changes and customer requests.
  • Test and analyse competition solution and help sales define PI value and WIN designs
  • Support customer projects in close co-operation with Application team .
  • Contribute design ideas with engineering report for FAE date base
  • Co-ordinate with sales and set priorities for design WIN and fast revenue growth
  • Review weekly or bi-weekly progress of design
  • Establishes design WIN objectives by creating a plan in support of regional objectives
  • Conduct periodical training to distributor FAE team, workshops / seminars (In-house & Public)
  • Travel required 40% 
Requirements:
  • Should have strong fundamental SMPS knowledge and have practical experience in AC /DC with expertise in various topologies such as flyback, buck, buck-boost, PFC, and LLC within the power electronics sector
  • Strong Knowledge and experience in AC/DC and DC/DC SMPS design, testing and analysis
  • Should possess knowledge in designing magnetic components including transformers, Common Mode chokes / Inductors etc.
  • Able to debug designs and recommend changes
  • Strong knowledge on design / simulation tools
  • Able to do accurate BOM level analysis
  • Able to build good working relationships with customer, distributors team and colleagues
  • Contribute effectively to Sales strategies
  • Strong communication skill, both verbal and in writing a must
  • Presentation Skill essential
Qualification and Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 -8 Years of experience in design and development of SMPS
  • Master’s Degree in electronics with 6 - 8 years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 6 to 8 years of experience
