Job Description:
- Cost responsible for PCBA supply chain topics. Primarily with our EMS, but also with distributors, component manufacturers and other suppliers
- RFI, RFQ and price negotiations with EMS, distributors, component manufacturers and other suppliers
- Daily coordination with internal and external partners for all matters related to cost, price, and invoice issues.
- Sourcing for new suppliers to improve supply chain resilience, variability, and cost.
- Supplier relationship management and supplier development for EMS, distributors, component manufacturers as well as other suppliers
- Collaboration with development teams for second source development to improve supply chain resilience, variability, and cost.
- Analysis of supply chain cost to create a better understanding of cost drivers.
- Responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing new systems and processes for cost and direct purchasing.
- Support of planning, NPI and other teams in other PCBA supply chain tasks.
- Participation and management of supply chain projects
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a similar field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with PCBA procurement/sourcing/cost management
- Must have a good understanding of PCBA and EMS supply chains as well as the industry with the ability to identify and develop strategic needs.
- Broad supplier network within the distributor and component manufacturer world.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the drive to develop, analyze and understand data to initiate strategic initiatives.
- Strong negotiator with experience in driving cost-down, initiating RFI, RFQ and other sourcing activities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong networks.
- Proactive, dynamic and well-organized personality with the drive to grow and improve personally as well as professionally.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of working independently in an international environment and with cross-functional teams.
