PCB Design Engineer

Job Summary
As a PCB Design Engineer you will be responsible for the PCB layout design and product characterization of PCB-based gate driver solutions for industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- To develop PCB designs for PCB-based Gate Driver for industrial applications.
- Work closely with Product Development Engineers to develop PCB layouts.
- Create designs using PCB Cad software tools – Altium.
- Create component library data such as component symbols, footprints, component parameters and manage libraries or component database.
- Generate schematic, 3D creation of PCB design and BOM
- Knowledge of product compliance and testing – Product Safety (Creepage and Clearance), EMI/EMC and Environmental Conformance.
- Work with vendors, test engineering and industrialization teams to prepare designs for manufacturing (DFM) and testability (DFT).
- Qualify and release to manufacturing PCB’s used in the design.
- Low and high voltage characterization of PCB-based gate drivers, lab-based characterization of components and performing various evaluations.
- Generation of internal technical documentation (e.g. test plan) and test reports.
- Assembly of few units or samples of PCB-based Gate Drivers.
Requirements
- Degree in electronics engineering or in related fields.
- 2 years of experience in PCB design.
- Ability to design PCB layout to meet technical expectations and quality goals.
- Preferably experience in low and high voltage measurements, used of electronic equipment tools such as oscilloscopes, DMM, AC and DC source, Thermal Camera, Thermal Chamber, LCR meter and etc.
- Willing to be trained for product evaluation and characterization.
- Familiar with Agile/PLM or any related management process.
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Learning capability and willingness to be trained and pursue further education.
- Resilient under stress even in tough situations.
- Strong organizational skills and team player.
Preferred
- Power electronics design experience and knowledge of power electronic components (e.g. Diode, IGBT, MOSFET, SiC MOSFET, Gate Driver) and/or SMPS.
- Knowledge of understanding and interpreting international standards (e.g. DIN EN and IEC).
