Orientation Trainer - 3rd Shift
Description
Orientation Trainers introduce new hires to the Culture of Pilgrims while ensuring they have the necessary information to be successful after the completion of a week-long orientation. The goal is to ensure a smooth initial hire period, and to help the new hire meet goals set by Operations. The Orientation Trainer is an extension of Human Resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that safety is a condition and is responsible for compliance and enforcement of all safety directives.
- Ensure new hires understand the safety requirements of the location
- Creating employee personnel files and badges for new hires
- Preparing, organizing, and filing all paperwork for new hires
- Develop and promote positive working environment that demonstrates the company’s Values
- Ensures all paperwork is completed timely and on schedule
- Orientation Trainers are responsible for communicating company rules, policies, and procedures to new hires either verbally, through electronic media, or classroom discussions
- Administer, track, and evaluate the Orientation process to seek improvement
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure new hires have proper training for successful onboarding.
- Develop and promote positive working relationships between new hires, peers, and leaders.
- Participate in Human Resources and company committees.
- All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous training experience.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others, Bilingual is a plus.
- Must be able to work in hot/cold areas, stand for long periods of time, and know how to perform all jobs in the area.
- Must be competent in the use of a variety of computer systems for business purposes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Professional communication and demeanor.
- Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to employees.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork with others.
- Able to work independently.
- Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
High School Diploma/GED
