POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for performing duties in the transfer of eggs form incubators to hatchers through the Embrex equipment and automation.  
Position Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, & Sunday (Including Holidays) 6am – 4/4:30pm.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Removes rack of eggs from incubators and Embrex automation sequence. To include transferring eggs from farm racks to incubator racks.
  • Places empty egg flats into farm racks and places empty hatch trays into Embrex transfer.
  • Place full racks of egg flats in washer and stage in holding areas. Load eggs into incubators and starting the incubation programs.
  • Removes from automation and places full hatcher dollies of eggs into hatchers.
  • Monitors machines and equipment for proper operation and documents findings, taking action when needed. Cleaning egg room automation equipment and sanitation of egg room.
  • Adjusts as needed or informs Supervisor/maintenance when equipment performance is deficient and unable to identify immediate action.
  • Set up and take down Embrex process Equipment.
  • Wash and sanitize Embrex process equipment.
  • Responsible for mixing and administering chemicals for atmospheric fogging.
  • Monitors incubator and hatcher operations. Expectation is to initiate stage sequences; trouble shoot performance and identify and/or correct basic program or mechanical deficiencies.
  • Performs minor maintenance to automation equipment as required.
  • Trains others with the skills and knowledge gained from position.
  • Help unload and load egg trailer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • High school education or equivalency
  • Ability to read, write and speak English for documentation purposes.
  • Good mechanical abilities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as a team.
