ONBOARDING SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY
The Onboarding Coordinator observes, trains, and coaches all new hires within their first 60 days. They are responsible for the successful performance and goal achievement related to workplace safety, food safety/ quality, and production requirements of new hires within the facility's Onboarding Program. The Onboarding Coordinator works to build relationships between new hires and production management. The onboarding coordinator is required to meet with production management weekly to review the new hires' performance and training plan.
The Onboarding Coordinator is to spend 90% of their time on the floor, with 10% off the floor to handle administrative duties. The administrative duties are to include:
◦ Daily new hire check in forms
◦ Weekly reports
◦ Company people pillar check in
◦ Any other duties assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
◦ Ensures that safety is a condition. Complies with, and enforces, all safety directives.
◦ Manage the overall experience of new hires from day 1 to 60 days or when the new hire becomes qualified, whichever comes first.
◦ Demonstrate hands on training techniques for new hires during the onboarding period and make recommendations to the Onboarding Supervisor about individual training needs, concerns, and special circumstances.
◦ Administer and track all new hire floor training to include, but not limited to: hours of training per week, qualification status, attendance, turnover, fostering new hire/supervisor relationship, other duties as assigned
◦ Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers, and leaders.
◦ Meet with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes and new hire performance.
◦ Fulfill the below key performance indicators: 30- and 60-day retention, minimum of 2
Safety Observations per week, 30-day GLINT survey, and other metrics as assigned
◦ Meet the following expectations: Instill all Pilgrims' values, do not work on the line, no new hires moved, complete all training documents, ensure trainees are qualified timely, ensure weekly meetings with new hires and management are completed, follow up with superintendent and training supervisor on any new hire issues, focus all attention and resources on new hires and their successful onboarding.

◦ Must be able to work in hot/ cold areas, stand for long periods of time, and know how to perform all jobs in the area. Successful candidates spend 90-95% of their time on the production floor with the new hires.
◦ Knowledgeable in all duties of the specific department
◦ Previous training experience preferred.
◦ Must have a great attendance record and be in good standing.
