Supply & Demand Analytics Specialist
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Supply & Demand Analytics Specialist for JBS that reports onsite to the corporate office in Greeley, Colorado.
The focus of this role is to become the trusted advisor regarding supply, demand, and associated relevant factors regarding the US poultry market. This role is responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining market information models, routines, and reports to educate the company on the current and future supply and demand environment, the resulting impact on commodity pricing, market opportunities, and associated risks to these opportunities. Strong analytical skills, curiosity, discipline, a researcher mindset are crucial for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the market information database and multiple data sources.
- Map and monitor the relevant supply and demand indicators.
- Make routine reports and analysis on supply and demand indicators.
- Present market expectations and prices at the quarterly meeting.
- Update and improve the statistical price forecast models for all commodity chicken products.
- Develop mathematical and statistical models for business related problems (profit models, yield optimization, client segmentation, etc.)
- Automate processes.
- Partner internally to develop dashboards and visualization tools.
- Perform competitive analysis on all segments of our business.
- Perform demand analysis on all segments of our business: Retail, FoodService, Export, etc.
- Perform price and mix optimization analysis.
- Provide assistance to upper management requests.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Business, Statistics, or related field
- 1-4 years of work experience in market research analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with data management and reporting
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to present results to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in at least one statistical package (STATA, R, SAS, or EViews)
- Experience with applied statistics
- Project management and process improvement experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Food or agricultural industry background
- Understanding of commodity markets
- Experience with database software (e.g., SQL)
- Working knowledge of VBA
- Experience with Qlikview
- Familiarity with pulling data from various sources (e.g., IRI/Nielsen, USDA)
- Experience using statistical packages for data analysis

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $74,000-$100,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
